Her face, neck, teacup and bird are crafted using fusible appliqué and finished with a neat machine blanket stitch – although you’re welcome to stitch them by hand if you prefer a more personal touch. The floral elements are made with a frilly appliqué technique. These are hand-stitched using the vibrant Wonderfil Spagetti thread, with pinking-sheared edges secured in place by a bold running stitch, giving Birdie Teacup her uniquely playful character.

The background is beautifully hand quilted, and the design is framed with a charming peeper border to make the whole piece pop.
